Social Actions, the web aggregator of global social innovation projects that allows individuals to find social projects they would like to support or contribute to, has announced the launch of the Social Entrepreneur API.

The Social Entrepreneur API is an open access database that collects information on global social entrepreneurs and opens this data through freely customizable search engines that organisations can put on their websites.

The API is, to my knowledge, the first comprehensive project of its kind and promises to become a highly flexible, easy to use way to connect with social entrepreneurs worldwide and distribute the knowledge about their achievements to a much broader audience.
